S.S. Keewatin with Cambrian escort

The S.S. Keewatin was built in Scotland and came into service in the early 1900s.  She plied the waters between Port McNicoll and Thunder Bay.  Operations ceased in the mid 60s and the vessel was bought and delivered to a Lake Michigan port.

The vessel will now remain in Port McNicoll and will see a 2 million dollar refit.  The end use will likely be as a museum, bed & breakfast and restaurant.
